Kathy enjoyed volunteering years of industry service locally and provincially, especially on the government relations side, lobbying for property rights for homeowners.
Kathy has lived in Powell River since 1976 and raised three daughters here. Her family has enlarged to include husband John, in-laws and two grandsons.
During her daughters’ younger years, she was involved with many volunteer activities including Powell River Festival of Performing Arts, Powell River Minor Hockey, Powell River Youth Soccer and Powell River Figure Skating Club.
She is a past director of Powell Chamber of Commerce and past chair of Powell River Ferries Advisory Committee.
Currently Kathy is passionately involved with Powell River Community Foundation. She also backs up her belief in helping children by supporting BC Children’s Hospital Foundation with a donation from every real estate sale.
